diablo 2- you've probably heard of it.
it's a great single/multi player action game, featuring 5 types of character (7 if you have the expansion pack)
you can either be a necromancer, an amazon, a sorceress, a druid, an assasin, a barbarian or a paladin.
the necro, my favorite class, can summon undead beasts, and use a variety of curses.
the amazon (or zon) is good with bows and javilins, and most of her spells are centred around those.
the sorceress (or sorc) uses three elements - ice, fire, and lightning. with arms, she mainly uses staves.
the druid is an expansion class, a lot like the necromancer, who can summon fiends, this time wolves and ravens, and can also turn into a werewolf or a werebear for even more fun.
the assasin is an expansion class which uses claws and other knuckle weapons to attack, and can also set traps for other players.
the barbarian (or barb) is a muscly man with high attack ratings, who can use multiple weapons and a variety of melee spells.
the paladin (or pally) is a holy man with many spells like sacrifice, auras to protect himself and others and is a general all-round knight.
i use diablo 2 online with battle.net, and the guys I use are either Archanox (level 23 druid), NoCross (level 62 necro), PhoenixWarrior (level 21 barb) or my other necro (level 14) who i'm leveling at the moment.
